Through Summer Stock Austin, Central Texas high school and college students work together to produce a summer stock season. Participants work as a traditional stock company, where each member performs, designs, builds and assists on each aspect of a theatrical production. The company is led by a host of professionals with experience ranging from LA to Broadway. This design allows college students to begin making invaluable connections in the professional community and high school to students experience production in a collegiate setting. Summer Stock Austin is supported in part by St. Edward's University and the Mary Moody Northen Theatre. Additional support provided by Zilker Theatre Productions. "If you're speculating on the future of theatre, this is stock worth investing in.: - Robert Faires, The Austin Chronicle.
