Description / Comments

The ladies and gentlemen of the University Finance Association are pleased to announce the 11th Annual Charity Volleyball Tournament, a volleyball tournament that will be held on April 27th.  This venture will be undertaken by one of the finest organizations at the University of Texas at Austin will benefit Austin's very own Eastside Community Connection, http://www.austinecc.org, a charity that helps to end poverty in the east Austin community.

Eastside Community Connection works to end poverty and promote a spirit of service throughout the University of Texas campus by providing food and education services to those who need it. The food pantry program helps to stabilize families in times of food insecurity. The education program offers classes in ESL, health, literacy, and financial independence. Since its opening in 2004, Eastside Community Connection has served over 1100 families.

We are currently seeking donations such as gift certificates, prizes, and souvenirs to reward the winners of the volleyball tournament. Donors who contribute $100 or more will have their company logo published on the back of the t-shirt.  The t-shirt will be distributed to all participants and volunteers.  In addition, donors are allowed to set up a sign, banner, etc. at the event for advertisement of their company.

The money raised will go toward a great cause, and the event will help increase awareness of the plight the local impoverished to the members of the University of Texas community.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Catherine Jenkins at catherine.jenkins@bba05.mccombs.utexas.edu of (210) 887 - 9024.

On behalf of the University Finance Association and the Eastside Community Connection, we thank you for your support.
